No Time...

I have too many things to get done today so this will be really quick!! I got my act together and submitted a card for Bellariffic Fridays on Em's Blog...You should really check out the submissions every friday...Lots of inspiration!!

The challenge for this week was a sketch...Designed by Nicky (who always has FABULOUS cards!!). I used Little Emmy and coloured her in with colours that matched the MME Tres Jolie paper I used. The sentiment is one I had made ages ago but it just seemed to work so well with Little Emmy!! I used the platinum dots (2 small and 1 large) for embellishment. The card was quick and easy.

Thanks for stopping by!!

Another day, Another card

It feels so nice to be getting some cards made..It's kinda nice when you actually "have" to make a card...You can't put it off!!

So the kids are both taking tennis lessons at the local tennis club...They have every spring for the last 3 years. the Tennis pro there is a super nice guy and my guys love him. It has been a tradition for me to make him a card for his birthday (it always falls during the spring lessons)...and he makes a point of letting EVERYONE know his birthday is coming up. He is truly a kid at heart so I thought this card would be perfect.

I used Tyler the Jock from Stamping Bella and coloured him in. I stamped him again and cut out the tennis racket and baseball cap and popped them up (Craig always wears a baseball cap!!). I layered him on brocade blue and wild wasabi...The patterned paper is from Little Yellow Bicylce (the colours went well). I added some blue jean glitter dots and the sentiment comes from SU's It's your birthday (retired). Inside the card I stamped "How many fingers are you?"...I'll make some crack about him not having enough fingers and toes to count that high!!
The layout is from last weeks Bellariffic Friday challenge (which I didn't have time to do). I changed it up a bit to make everything fit.

Thanks for looking!!

UNBELIEVABLE!!!

I do not have one single piece of dirty laundry in my entire house!!! I was a madwoman yesterday and last night getting it done...but I did!! Now I only have mountains of it to put away... and of course when the kids get home it will start over again...LOL... but for now...YAY ME!!
So last night while the machine was running, I made this card. it is another one for my Mom to give...this time to her neighbour who fell off a ladder and broke his arm and leg. I didn't have anything good for a male "get well" card so I improvised.

The shoes are one of the new releases from Stamping Bella, and I used this weeks Mojo sketch for the layout...I just love sketch challenges!!

I was feeling lazy so I coloured with Copics instead of watercolouring...(but I impressed myself with the end result). I used some blues and a moss green but the best was the brick white...I used it on the toes and soles of the shoes and I just love the way it turned out on the white paper. I stamped the image with Mementos Tuxedo black...It is the only one that doesn't seem to run when you use copics... I didn't really have an appropriate sentiment so I made my own up and did it on the printer.

Now I'm off to put away all my laundry...

Let me know what you think (about the card that is...not the laundry!!)

Happy Monday!!

The day couldn't be better!! I was up early and got a load of laundry going while the kids got ready for school...lunches got packed, agendas signed and library books were easy to find (for once!!). I met a good friend for coffee and on my way home stopped to see if I could find any mistint paint cans so we can re-paint our barn...loooong overdue!! I struck gold (actually red) and found 5 gallons of various shades of red that I can mix together and still have a "barn red" colour.
So now here I am taking a 10 minute break before I go out to work on the yard...It is way too nice to stay inside!!

I made this card for a friend of my Mom's...she is a real estate agent and just sold a house. She will use this to give the buyers at their house warming.

Of course "sellabella" was just perfect. I watercoloured her with my re-inkers and added some ribbon and champagne glitter dots for embellishment. I coloured to match the patterned paper (I know...stripes again...LOL)...I think it is basic grey but it was just a scrap so I'm not sure. I stamped the bottom piece of mellow moss cardstock with the Itty Bitty Backgrounds splatter from SU and though it doesn't really show in the picture, I used some crystal effects on the windows to make them look more like glass..

thanks for looking!!

Last class...

For my ladies...I mentioned I was finished with one of my committments so I have a bit more time...well it was a 6 week course (once a week) that I did at one of the local seniors centres.

The ladies that participated absolutely loved the stuff we did...This was the final class this past wednesday. They made the 4 cards and the little purse to put them in...I used the bag in a box (or was it box in a bag) from the SCS website, but I modified it to make it bigger so it would hold standard A2 cards. It took a bit of effort but I figured out the dimensions and voila, this is how it turned out.

I used the SU pocket silhouettes set and the Darling Dots paper from SAB. The only non-SU items were the flower punches to decorate the bag and the scallop punch to create the border along the bottom of the bag.

I was working on a couple of cards last night but they aren't quite finished so you'll have to wait to see them...We didn't get home from swim practice until almost 10:00 so I was too tired to stamp for long!! I was pretty impressed though...my daughter swam 2 kms in her practice last night....not bad for a tiny 8 yr old!!

Have a great weekend!!

I'm Back....

Well sort of...did you miss me?? I certainly missed having the time to stamp and post my pictures here!! It has been a looooong couple of weeks. My schedule is still pretty crazy but one of my committments is finished so I should have a little bit more time...

I actually made this card last week for the Bellariffic Fridays challenge, it is the only card I have made in two weeks...sooooo depressing!!!
For the challenge we had to use gold and bling....I don't use gold much so it was tough trying to figure things out...but I managed!!

I used Hitchedafellabella from stamping Bella. I used my CB swirls folder to emboss some vellum and then embossed gold splatters using one of the stamps from SU's Itty Bitty Backgrounds set. I coloured in my fella using a grey marker and paper pieced Bella's dress with shimmery gold cardstock. I layered the card with the shimmery gold and added four pearl baubles at the corners of the image. I think that explains everything...it was so long ago I forget all the steps!!

Thanks for looking....at least you had something to see this time...Now I'm off to make lunches and get the kids to school. It is show & Tell so my son has decided he wants to bring in his Hamster...gotta clean the cage first!!LOL

I WILL SURVIVE!!!

This is my mantra for the next few weeks....I am only half way through my first week of our insane schedule and I'm already exhausted!! If I'm lucky enough to find time to stamp I am over the moon...I did today (feeling guilty every minute of the 15 minute break I took)...I justified it 'cause Jessie has a bday party on the weekend so I had to make a card...shhhh don't tell anyone that I already had about 20 that would have been suitable...GRIN!!

So I made this card today...literally, it took me 15 minutes...I had the layout in my head so it was just a question of colouring...I used copics so it went really fast. I used my other Penny Black stamp and decided that these images look better on a larger card...this one is 5 x 5. I used up bits and pieces and just coloured to match my papers. I added some ribbon tied to a circle clip and 4 oyster baubles (one in each corner) to the card...voila...nice and easy.

Ok..so much for my breather...I'm diving back into the chaos...I'll let you know when I re-surface...LOL

have a GREAT day!!!

Monday, Monday...

Big sigh....back to lunches and homework and everything else. Have you ever noticed it always seems harder to get started on Mondays!!

So as usual, my day is crazy but I did allow 10 minutes to do a quick post. I made this card last night (after my stamp club meeting...maybe that's why it's hard to get started...I didn't go to bed until 1:00am).

I made this card for Janet's challenge (I totally missed last weeks!!) This week her challenge is to make a birthday card ('cause it is her birthday this week....HAPPY BIRTHDAY JANET!!!).

Anyway...I used Daydreamabella, one of the new releases from Stamping Bella...you should really go check them all out...AWESOME!! I watercoloured her with SU's Pretty in Pink, Certainly Celery and Cool Caribbean. The background papers are the same as the inks and I added a strip of MME Just Dreamy 'cause it had the same colours in it. I sentiment in the bubble is from SU's really retro set and the Happy birthday comes with Daydreamabella. I used my small oval and scallop oval for the sentiment and used pink scribbles for the dots around the scallop.

Thanks for looking, now I'm off to design 6 cards for my ladies on Wednesday!

Have a great Monday

It's Friday!!!

yay!!! don't you love Fridays??? Two days coming up with no lunches to pack, no homework to get done, no rushing to make the bus...

Well it is Friday so I still have to pack lunches and get kids dressed and make the bus, which means I only have about 10 minutes to post the card I made yesterday.

This is my submission for the Bellariffic Fridays challenge, Emily posted a sketch for this weeks challenge and I have to say I had fun doing it (although I only had an hour yesterday to get it done and submitted.)
I used one of my new stamps (and one of the new releases). I ended up using scraps of paper I had lying on my desk so I have no idea where they are from. I coloured in my Shower Bugg Huggabugg and layered it on some pink. I added stickles to the dots and wings for some bling and of course some glitter dots around the circle image...'cause I just love ALL the dots!!

(just a note...I edited my post and took at the picture of the sketch...the text wasn't loading properly and was driving me crazy!! Hop over to Blogabella to look at the sketch and all of the wonderful submissions!!!)

Thanks for looking and have a great Friday!!
